The Ministry of Development and Environment presented yesterday to the Plenary of the Regional Council of Environment, the first to be constituted after the new decree of January 2017 that regulates its operation, the Draft Decree regulating the mycological resource in Castile And Leon, whose main novelty lies in trying to give, for the first time in Spain, a comprehensive treatment of mycology and the economic and social sector linked to it. This is the first autonomous norm dealt with jointly by four different councils, Fomento and Environment, Agriculture and Livestock, Health and Culture and Tourism.
The draft decree regulating the wild mycological resource in Castilla y León incorporates a general conservation regime for wild mushrooms as an element of our natural heritage and a specific regime as a forest resource, which includes the option of declaring mycological parks fostered and coordinated by The autonomic administration.
The text has already been submitted to public information and is pending the mandatory reports of the Economic and Social Council and Consultative, among other organs, before finally being approved by the Governing Council.
The Fund for Improvements in the cataloged forests of public utility, the Plan of Action for the eradication of the illegal use of poisoned baits and the modification of the hunting decree have been other contents included in the agenda of the Plenum of the Council referring to the Natural Environment .
